Aaron Ginns is a Musician, Composer, and Bandleader.
Ginns serves as the Bandleader for the Park Hyatt House Band, performing regularly at one of New York’s finest hotels. Ginns has played music all over the world. Most notably, in April 2018 he set a world record for the northernmost drum solo while playing at the North Pole. Ginns studied at the University of Michigan earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Studies from the School of Music, Theatre and Dance.
During his time at Michigan, Ginns performed as a part of the University of Michigan Jazz Ensemble, Various Musical Theatre Productions as well as Ann Arbor and Detroit based rock bands. Additionally, Ginns was the Drummer for the Michigan Basketball Band, performing at home games in Crisler Arena as well as postseason tournaments including the 2018 Final Four.
Ginns currently lives in New York City pursuing a masters in Jazz Studies at NYU, and performing around the city. He has studied with Lenny White, Michael Wolff, Carl Allen, Mike Richmond, Michael Gould and Benny Green.
