About Aaron

Aaron Ginns is a drummer, bandleader and teacher based in Brooklyn. He has performed in more than 20 countries, from New York’s best rooms to the North and South Poles, and in 2018 he set a world record with a drum solo at the North Pole.

He leads the Aaron Ginns Trio, a jazz piano trio that spent years as the house band at the Park Hyatt New York and plays hotels, restaurants, galas and cocktail hours across the city, including Soho House, Ludlow House and Bronze Owl. For weddings and parties he puts together larger bands, from a trio for the ceremony and dinner to a full band of New York players for the dance floor.

He also plays drums in the Brooklyn band Lazr Wolf and teaches privately at his studio in Williamsburg, where students range from first-time players to working drummers preparing for auditions.

Studied with Lenny White and Benny Green. BFA in Jazz Studies, University of Michigan. Master’s degree, NYU.
